Filing a complaint
The Institute recognizes that every user is entitled to express his or her dissatisfaction with the care and services that were or should have been received.
In most cases, our users are satisfied with the care and services they receive. However, you may nonetheless feel that a breach of care was committed or that your rights were not respected. To remedy the situation, it is generally best to discuss the matter with the professionals involved.
If you wish to inform us of any concerns or dissatisfaction:
- First, raise the matter with the concerned staff member(s).
- You can also ask to meet the head of the department or division where you received the care and services.
If you are still dissatisfied, you can submit a complaint verbally or in writing to the Local Commissioner.
