La Chaire de recherche du Canada sur les bioaérosols vous invite au 13^e webinaire de la série de séminaires ARG, qui s’intitutle : Fitness landscape of antimicrobial resistance genes: studying all mutations in a single tube.

Ce webinaire est présenté par Christian Landry, professeur titulaire aux Département de biologie et Département de biochimie, microbiologie et bio-informatique de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en systèmes cellulaires et biologie synthétique, et directeur du programme de formation FONCER du CRSNG sur l'évolution des pathogènes fongiques de l’Université Laval.

Ce jeudi 2 février 2023 à 10 h, vous pourrez l’entendre discuter, entre autres, de la plus haute importance du lien entre la séquence et la résistance des gènes de résistance aux antimicrobiens dans son domaine. Il partagera avec vous ses travaux récents sur le balayage mutationnel profond de deux enzymes de résistance aux médicaments. Dans un projet, il examinera avec nous le compromis entre la résistance à un médicament antifongique et l'activité sur le substrat canonique de la cible médicamenteuse, et bien plus encore.

The Canada Research Chair in Bioaerosols is inviting you its 13th webinar which is entitled : Fitness landscape of antimicrobial resistance genes: studying all mutations in a single tube.

This webinar will be presented by Christian Landry, Professor in the Département de biologie and Département de biochimie, microbiologie et bio-informatique, Canada Research Chair in Cellular Systems and Synthetic Biology and Director of NSERC CREATE training program on the evolution of fungal pathogens at Université Laval.

This Thursday, February 2 at 10 a.m. EST, you will have the chance to hear him discuss about how the link between sequence and resistance for antimicrobial resistance genes is of outmost importance in his field. He will share his team’s recent work on the deep mutational scanning of two drug resistance enzymes. In one project, he will examine with us the trade-off between resistance to an antifungal drug and activity on the canonical substrate of the drug target, and much more!
